BRV’s Debt Capital Markets (DCM) group is responsible for soliciting, structuring and executing debt and related product businesses, including new issues of both public and private debt.

DCM establishes and maintains an active dialogue with our Fortune 500 clients and provides ongoing advice on all debt-related issues, and generates new product ideas to enable clients to achieve short-term and long-term capital objectives in their current business configurations, as well as through strategic transactions that transform a company’s capital structure.

BRV provides clients with a multi-tiered distribution platform that specializes in Tier II and III investor relationships in addition to large Tier I accounts. This strategy helps clients to diversify investor base and simultaneously add stability to the market values of securities.

Debt Capital Markets Team

Cliff Swint, Executve Vice President – Investment Banking

Prior to arriving at Blaylock, Mr. Swint spent 15 years on Wall Street structuring equity-linked transactions for U.S. and Canadian companies while employed with RBC Capital Markets, PaineWebber, and Kidder, Peabody. During this time, he executed billions of dollars of tax-efficient structures designed to reduce both risks and costs of share repurchases, equity cross-holdings and equity funding. Mr. Swint holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BS Mechanical Engineering degree from Lafayette College and a MS Computer Science degree from The Johns Hopkins University. He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Fred Royall, Sr. Vice President – Investment Banking

Mr. Fred Royall has 10 years of capital markets experience. He has executed over 40 transactions for clients including GECC, Google, Meruelo Maddux Properties, Garmin Ltd., Genworth Financial, and Charles River Laboratories. Before joining the firm he was a senior associate in the equity capital markets group at Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Royall began his career at Merrill Lynch & Co. and is a graduate of Columbia Business School.

Anne Serewicz, Sr. Vice President – Investment Banking

Ms. Serewicz is focused on corporate sector investment banking. Ms. Serewicz has over 20 years of experience as an international corporate banker. Prior to joining Blaylock Robert Van, Ms. Serewicz was a Managing Director and Head of Retail & Distribution Industry Sector at HSBC North America from March 2001. Prior to joining HSBC, Ms. Serewicz spent over 13 years with Citigroup, in NY and in Europe principally at Citibank Paris, France, since 1988. Ms. Serewicz also serves on the Board of the French American Chamber of Commerce of New York, a non-for-profit organization that promotes business between France and North America. Ms. Serewicz holds advanced degrees from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) and Northwestern University (Evanston, IL).

Dudley Brown, Sr. Vice President - Manager, Chicago Office

Mr. Brown has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to Blaylock Robert Van, Mr. Brown founded Berean Capital, Inc., an institutional broker/dealer based in Chicago, in May of 1991. Mr. Brown served as President and CEO of the firm that offered equity execution, equity reseach, taxable fixed income execution and municipal bond underwriting. In June of 2005, Mr. Brown became CEO of Jackson Securities, LLC and served in that capacity until July, 2008. Mr. Brown began his career with Merrill Lynch in 1984. Mr. Brown completed his undergraduate studies at Denison University in Economics and earned his masters degree in Finance from The Kellogg School of Managegment at Northwestern University.

Louis DeCaro, Senior Banker

Mr. DeCaro is a Senior Banker with Blaylock Robert Van, LLC and has over 30 years experience in the securities business in a multitude of capital markets functions. Prior to joining Blaylock, Mr. DeCaro managed the U.S. Debt Capital Markets effort for ABN AMRO. In addition, he spent 15 years with JP Morgan/Chase originating funding for banks, insurance, finance, REITS, healthcare and corporate clients. Mr. DeCaro started his securities career at Salomon Brothers in the mortgage division. He Holds a B.S. from St. Johns and an MBA from Pace University.
